One of the brightest young talents in European motocross has secured his future. Reigning 2025 EMX65 champion Mathys Agullo has officially signed a multi-year deal with KTM, with the French youngster set to become a factory KTM rider from the 2027 season onwards.
Agullo has already shown why he is regarded as one of the sport’s biggest prospects. After dominating the EMX65 championship last season, he stepped up to the 85cc class in 2026 and has adapted impressively despite it being his first year on the bigger machine.
At the Junior World Championship in the Czech Republic, the French rider underlined his potential with a solid 13-7 scorecard to finish ninth overall. It was an encouraging performance for a rookie in the class and provides plenty of optimism ahead of the 2027 season, when he is expected to be among the leading contenders.
Before then, Agullo will continue his development by competing in the EMX85 championship, with the final taking place at Loket.
Although he already races with KTM machinery, the new agreement means Agullo will officially become part of the factory KTM programme from 2027 as the Austrian manufacturer continues to invest in its next generation of talent.
Announcing the news on social media, an excited Agullo wrote:
“Very happy and proud to announce that I’m joining the KTM family for the next seasons. A huge thank you to KTM, KTM MX Future and everyone who believes in me for their trust and this amazing opportunity.
Since the beginning, it has been a journey full of hard work, sacrifices and passion… Today a new chapter starts with one of the most legendary brands in motocross. I can’t wait to represent these colours, keep learning, keep improving and give my best every time I’m on the track.
Thank you to my family and everyone supporting me on this journey. LET’S GO KTM”
With a European title already on his CV and an impressive transition into the 85cc ranks, Agullo’s future looks bright. KTM clearly sees him as a rider capable of developing into one of the stars of tomorrow, and the long-term factory contract is a major vote of confidence as he continues climbing the motocross ladder.
