Gajser’s costly crash in China!

Tim Gajser’s Chinese GP went wrong only two turns in when he crashed into Glenn Coldenhoff at the start of race one and then again into Bonacorsi as he came through the field, but the damage was really with his footpeg getting bent and Gajser having to slow down later in the race, even coming into the pits to try and get it fixed before heading back out to tour round and score 4 points in 17th.

In race two, Gajser got away in second behind Prado and, while he stayed with him, he couldn’t get close enough to make a pass, meaning Tim who led by 14 coming into China is now 7 back, but if he had won race two with Prado second it would have been just a one point deficit!

If Prado wins all three motos in Spain with Gajser second, they would tie on points with the tie-break going to Prado on GP wins!
