Latvia are the latest nation to announce their squad for the 2026 Motocross of Nations, with the prestigious event heading to Ernée, France, in October.
The Latvian team will be led by experienced MXGP campaigner Pauls Jonass, who brings plenty of international experience to the line-up. Jonass has endured an interrupted 2026 season after his crash at Foxhill forced him to miss a few rounds, but he still currently sits 10th in the MXGP World Championship standings.
Joining Jonass in the Latvian squad will be the Reisulis brothers, Janis and Karlis, who have both enjoyed strong seasons in the MX2 World Championship.
Janis Reisulis currently sits sixth in the MX2 standings despite this being his rookie season in the class. Just one position behind him is his brother Karlis in seventh, making it a particularly strong year for the two factory Yamaha riders.
The Reisulis brothers have consistently shown strong pace throughout the season and will head to Ernée with valuable experience already under their belts. While Latvia may not always be considered one of the first nations mentioned among the favourites, this is a team that should not be underestimated.
With Jonass providing experience at the highest level and the Reisulis brothers bringing youth, speed and momentum, Latvia have assembled a very capable squad for the 2026 MXoN.
