BUD Racing to contest the World Supercross Championship

Bud Racing is entering the World Supercross Championship through a five-year partnership with promoter SX GLOBAL and the FIM as the official Kawasaki team. It is a privilege for the French team to become one of the 10 teams chosen to compete in this new world title race. With 4 events scheduled from October to November, 2022 will serve as a “test” season to allow the series to establish itself and gain momentum. The year 2023 and beyond will then see the championship run between June and November.

All over the world

No less than 10 events are planned around the world, in places where no other world championship has been held before. Like the 9 other teams selected by SX GLOBAL, Bud Racing will field two riders in the SX2 250cc class and two in the WSX 450cc class. Well decided to put all the chances on its side to climb on the highest step of the podium, it will be necessary to wait a few more weeks to know the identity of the 4 riders chosen to represent the French team.

Adam Bailey, Managing director of SX Global: “Stephane and his team at BUD Racing have a rich history in global motocross and supercross. Having factory support from Kawasaki France, Europe and Japan will make them a powerful force in the FIM World Supercross Championship. Stephane has been a critical player in building France’s credibility in supercross and his reputation for rider development, including the likes of Marvin Musquin and Dylan Ferrandis (previously Bud Racing Kawasaki riders) is second to none. We’re excited to bring him and his team on board to take the sport of supercross truly global.”

Stéphane DASSE, Team manager BUD RACING KAWASAKI: “We are really proud and excited to have been selected as the official Kawasaki team for this brand new championship. It will allow the development of Supercross throughout the world. I have always encouraged my riders to practice SX from a very young age. In these conditions, I can only appreciate, support and believe in the development of a World Championship like the one that already exists in motocross. I think this is a real opportunity and we should expect something great from a sporting and media point of view.”
