Race One: With conditions being muddy, it was a tough moto and a good start was key. It was Simone Mancini who got the holeshot on his Fantic and he was looking superb pulling out a big lead at the front of the field.

The three championship contenders all started pretty much together outside the top five but they were able to make quick passes. It was Reisulis who was on the move – he didn’t seem to mind the conditions. When he got into second, there was a ten seconds gap to cut down to Mancini.

The Latvian kept charging, was able to catch him and took an impressive win.

Bobby Bruce was riding well but had a crash when he was in fourth – hopefully he is okay!

Garcia and Zanocz were able to get back to third and fourth respectively. Nico Greutmann had a crash when he was in third so got demoted down to fifth.

Billy Askew had a solid ride to bring home tenth.

Race Two: There was a downpour just before the start of the race which saw conditions the toughest they’ve been all weekend. Janis quickly got himself to the lead and started to pull away at the front in brutal conditions – but he had two crashes – he could still manage to win though.

The Latvian said he actually dislocated his shoulder in the first crash so was just trying to survive after that but still won!

Noel Zanocz managed three crashes but still finished second on his JM Honda machine. Nico Greutmann was second and was on for a podium but had to stay there – he ended up crashing which allowed Zanocz into second.

Garcia rode solid for fourth with Adrien Petit rounding out the top five. Bradley Mesters ended up sixth.

Bobby Bruce was in the top three at the start but eventually ended up twelfth with Billy Askew having issues which meant a DNF.
