Race One: It was a superb opening race but Mathis Valin was immaculate at the front. Championship pressure? He’s having none of it! Valin led coming out of the first corner and pulled away at the front of the pack.
Meanwhile you couldn’t take your eyes off the battle for second between van Erp and Lata. The Italian passed Van Erp but the Dutch rider didn’t go away. He actually passed Lata back before a backmarker got in his way and Lata got him back. After that they went at it right to the flag but it was Lata who held on for second.
Valk meanwhile came home a distant fourth – he’d have wanted more. Gavin Towers tagged his team mate coming out of the first corner which meant he had to come from the very back but he rode a great race finishing in fifth passing Soulimani on the last lap.
Race Two: There was more chaos on the opening lap of race two with van Erp in the middle of it as championship contender, Lata hit his back wheel and ended up on the deck meaning he had to come from last.
Van Erp was looking good at the front with Valin well positioned in second but then the Dutch rider made a mistake stalling which allowed Valin get into the lead with a three laps to go.
Cas Valk ended up third with Lata coming back to fourth but things are looking very good for Valin as he has an advantage of 21 points heading into the final round.
Towers finished fifth again ahead of Max Werner.
