Race One: It was Jeffrey Herlings domination in the first race after starting in second behind his team mate, Tom Vialle. It didn’t take him long to make a move and once he did, he checked out at the front.
Romain Febvre didn’t get the best of starts but worked his way through to second – he needs a better start if he is to challenge Herlings for the overall. Tom Vialle held off an impressive Andrea Adamo for third.
It was a race to forget for Tim Gajser as he bad two crashes ending up in tenth. Brent van Doninck got a good start and was running as high as fifth before coming home in seventh just behind the returning Kay de Wolf.
Race Two: It was a similar race for Herlings in race two as he got a good start but had Vialle ahead of him but once he made a move he ran into the distance to win his 119th GP overall win in style – he now has a 49 points lead in the championship.
Vialle rode well to come home in second and keep an improved Gajser behind him. Febvre went down at the start – along with Kay de Wolf and Isak Gifting – but the French talent came back to fifth to get on the podium.
