Race One: Moritz Ernecker grabbed the holeshot and never looked back – he made very difficult conditions look easy! It was all going on behind him in the battle for second.
Andrea Uccellini was behind Bertram Thorius before finally making a move stick. But then Thorius started to catch towards the end before he had a huge crash! Thankfully he was able to pick the bike back up and finish down in ninth.
Ricardo Bauer was buried down in around eighteenth on the first lap but had a superb race and made a move on Uccellini for second on the last lap – a KTM 1-2.
Sleny Goyer finished fourth to keep hopes alive of a podium at his home GP with Gennaro Utech rounding out the top five. Levi Townley can be pleased with seventh on his return to racing.
Race Two: Ernecker got the holeshot again but Bauer managed to get a good start in around fourth but after the first couple of corners he was on the move and already into second. It didn’t take Bauer that long to pass Ernecker either and he ran into the distance – very impressive!
Goyer rode well to make a few passes and finish second after a great battle with Thorius. Ernecker appeared to take no risks and came home in fourth ahead of Utech who had a very solid weekend.
Townley hasn’t raced at this level since Arco last year but it didn’t show as he finished sixth for sixth overall.
