Haiden Deegan was asked in the press conference if he preferred Jett or Hunter Lawrence to win the 450 outdoor motocross title with only one point between the brothers entering the final round at Ironman this week, and Deegan’s response was predictably hilarious!
Deegan answered by saying: “I’m ready to just give them hell, really. Make it hard for both of them, because I don’t really care for either.”
On improving the bike, Deegan said Kyle Chisholm has helped with testing: “I just needed some outside knowledge, to be honest. Chizz helped a lot, having that outside knowledge, and having that experience on a 450, and kind of helping with the power as well.”
On this week leading into Budds Creek and a strong first moto, Deegan said: “Just a long week of testing, getting the bike right, and the first moto ripped a nice start. Held with Hunter probably that whole race, so that was good. Finally, the body felt good the whole race. That felt strong at the end, felt strong at the beginning. That’s what I need, little achievements like that. I mean, that was the big gain this week. It’s a fast bike, and you can obviously go too fast with the power. So just getting that right.”
