Prado on a terrible weekend at High Point

Jorge Prado went 12-23 on a terrible day at High Point as the reigning world champion can’t get comfortable enough on the Kawasaki to run up front and show the Americans just how good he is.

Back in September at the MXoN Prado had beat Hunter Lawrence, Eli Tomac and Aaron Plessinger at some stage over the weekend, while his rival Gajser beat Jett in the final moto.

We have not seen that so far for Prado on the Kawasaki with Paturel catching and passing him in race one and no points in the mud of race two. Prado and Kawasaki need to find the settings he is comfortable on and quickly, this is not how anyone expected outdoors to go even taking into consideration the injury, new bike, new tracks and new series.

Prado said: “It was a difficult weekend. After the first qualifying session, we made some changes that helped me put a fast lap together for second qualifying. In the first moto, I had a pretty good start, but I struggled the first lap to get some passes and was getting arm pump, which caused me to drop back a bit. The second moto was a mudfest. Hopefully, now with the next two weeks, we can improve a lot and bounce back for the next part of the season. Hopefully, we can make some big changes and improve to be battling up front.”
