Despite winning by over 30 seconds in both motos at Blaxhall, Conrad Mewse has announced he won’t be racing the British GP next weekend and has cancelled his American trip saying he isn’t up to speed or fitness following his wrist injury.

It is very disappointing news for British fans with Mewse, who revealed he is only at 70% of his full potential, saying he is going back to Belgium this week to try and get back to his pre-injury level.

Mewse said: “P1 at @motulacubritishmx Blaxhall🔴 Another perfect day going 1-1. Happy to get the win for @tru7group at their home race. Thanks to my amazing team yet again for all their hard work💪🏼 On another note absolutely gutted to announce I will not be racing my Home GP next weekend or making the trip to America this year. Unfortunately I’m not up to speed or fitness due to not having rode with my wrist injury so we’ve made the decision as a team to postpone until next year. Sorry to let everyone down, but it’s unfair on me and the team to make the trip over there whilst only being 70%. My plan is to work towards MXGP of Lommel and Arnhem.”
