Jett Lawrence took an incredible holeshot despite and eighth placed gate pick after crashing in his heat, to lead wire to wire in a statement win under pressure.

Tomac was second initially, but gave Webb room to make the pass for second but even Cooper Webb couldnt run with Jett as Chase Sexton eventually passed Webb for second and then, crucially, in the last turn Anderson passed Webb for third with Webb going down trying to hold him off! Webb took fourth but lost 7 more points in the championship. Jett leads by 12 with two rounds to go.

Jett said: “There was only one option, get a good start and be up there. The job is not done yet and we have to stay focused for the last two rounds.”

Webb said: It was a tough race, felt good in the beginning but got tied. It
was a bad ride for me. I was just trying to survive. It’s not over but definitely a bummer to not do my part. Just have to win now.”

Max Anstie took a fantastic race win to run down home favourite Seth Hammaker and bide his time before making the pass for the lead.

Swoll then wiped himself and Hammaker out going for second in a badly timed move that scuppered both riders shot at a podium.

Vialle and Deegan both had bad starts outside the top ten but Vialle passed Deegan and the duo powered through the field to second and third, but Deegan couldn’t make the pass as the cold as ice Vialle extended his lead to 15 points with one round remaining.

Anstie said: “It was so loud (home crowd cheering Hammaker). It was an exciting race. We needed this.”

Vialle: “We had a really good race to come back from nearly last to second. I kept Haiden behind me and that was my goal.”

Deegan said: “If this race doesnt make you a fan of supercross nothing will. I hope Pierce is alright that was a gnarly crodd rut. I have respect for Tom and Max.”
