He’s known to be cocky but Haiden Deegan can also be very honest when he has to be and in his latest vlog after Unadilla where Deegan was fast in the begging of the moto but ended up 30 seconds back at the end of each moto, the American now says it’s going to take time to get where he wants to be on the 450.
Deegan said: “Unfortunately, Unadilla has always kind of been a struggle bus for me, so I feel like for what I kind of expected myself, I wanted a little more. You know, I’m trying to chase that moto win, obviously, but just trying to get mid-motos a little better, so we’re going to get that fixed. It’s just, I mean, I hate to be saying it, but it really is a learning year, so I’ve got to learn the body and continue to learn with the bike.
“So it’s going to take time, and as much as I want it to happen overnight, it’s just the reality is it’s not. So I’m going to keep working, going to keep on trying to get better, and especially those first motos trying to get the body better. So they’ll come around. I know that. So it’s still a good spot. P3 overall in the day, third in points. So just keep on striding away towards these weekends and hopefully get close to that moto win.”
