Tim Gajser took his first race win of the season but it wasn’t easy. Gajser gated third then had to put a move on Isak Gifting for second before he could set his sights on title rival, Maxime Renaux.
Gajser calmy caught Renaux then, after, stalking the Frenchman, made the move up the inside but Renaux wasn’t willing to give in but went down trying to hold Gajser off.
That let Lucas Coenen into second and the 18 year old rookie was on the charge, coming from seventh to second and it was Coenen who was now the fastest man on track.
He caught Gajser and, just when it looked like he was about to make the pass, he went down hard. Coenen picked it up in fourth but it looked like his bars were bent he he struggled to keep the bike straight allowing the Fantic’s of Coldenhoff and Bogers to pass him – but Coenen has the speed to win.

Meanwhile, Gajser showed his maturity, weathered the storms and took the win as all his rivals, including Febvre who tipped over on lap one while fifth, all made mistakes.
