Team F4E GasGas Junior Racing is entering its sixth year with a unique and completely Flemish line-up.
The goal: to score high in the European MX125 Championship and prepare Flemish youth riders for what will hopefully be a great international career.
Team F4E GasGas Junior Racing certainly has the foundation to make those ambitions come true. With roots that go back two generations and a lot of European and national titles in the family, team owner Jimmy Verburgh is a seasoned veteran. Experience that has been crammed into a team over the past 6 years that continues to grow and has built up a reputation for the professional guidance of young talents.
That is also the path that will be taken further in 2025, but with a unique line-up of riders: the three F4E GasGas Junior Racing riders for next year are all Flemish.
“With this we want to emphasize that we are fully committed to supporting young people from our own country and even our own region. It also offers advantages. The logistics are easier to manage and we can also train together with the entire team more often. In this way, the men not only learn from themselves and the team management, but also from each other,” says team owner and FMX legend Jimmy Verburgh.
If this well-considered approach translates into realizing ambitions, then Ian Ampoorter wants to reach the top 10 in the European MX 125 Championship and the top 5 in the German ADAC races. Ampoorter had an injury-riddled 2024, and has set clear goals for himself for `25.
Goals that are not much different for 15-year-old Seth Priem: he wants to qualify for all European Championship rounds and is aiming for the top 10 in the ADAC championship. Arthur Decouter is the junior in this Junior Racing team. The 14-year-old wants to qualify for all EMX races and is aiming for the top 15 for the ADAC championship.
Before these expectations can be tested against reality in early ’25, there is still a busy winter ahead that is full of training.
