Nicholas Lapucci to sit out MXGP opener

It was recently announced that Nicholas Lapucci will race a two-stroke against the four-strokes in MXGP this year but sadly the Italian has revealed he will sit out the opening round at Matterley Basin.

The Fantic rider has been battling with a shoulder injury during the pre-season and whilst he’s recently started to feel more normal he’s decided to return at round two in Mantova so he can be 100%.

“Good couple of days back on the bike. Felt great to put some seat time in and finally my shoulder feels normal. I’m going to skip the first round to get back 100% and to do my MXGP debut with the 2 stroke in Mantova. So excited to do it in my home soil, see ya there peeps.”, Lapucci stated on social media.
