Thibault Benistant had a big crash in timed practice putting him out of his home GP and a disappointing blow to his title chances.

Benistant is very lucky to have no major injuries:

Yamaha said in the press release: The French Grand Prix got off to a challenging start for the Monster Energy Factory MX2 team with their MX2 star and home hero, Thibault Benistant, making a mistake on a steep decent two laps into the Timed Practice session that threw him over the handlebars. The 22-year-old Frenchman, who holds fourth position in the MX2 Championship Standings, took a hard impact and was immediately taken to the on-site medical center where he was cleared of any fractures or serious injury. However, in consultation with the FIM doctor and the team, Yamaha has decided to withdraw him from the French Grand Prix. The main priority is ensuring his well-being and allowing him the necessary time to recover fully.
