Romain Febvre admitted he did injure his thumb when he cased the triple during free practice – but the rain helped him win a muddy qualifying race!
A delighted and shocked Febvre said: “Actually I injured my thumb (casing the triple), I tried to do laps but couldn’t jump the jumps, but there was too much pain. With the rain I thought I had a chance to get points but I win the qualifying race – I am just speechless.”
