There was a delay in the MX2 timed practice due to a red flag which saw Tom Guyon crash and MX2 title contender, Thibault Benistant involved. Guyon crashed and Benistant had nowhere to go – both riders headed to the medical treatment so didn’t join with the session restarted.

It was Liam Everts who set the pace in a KTM 1-2 with Sacha Coenen second fastest over Simon Laegenfelder after he broke his collarbone two weeks ago. Mikkel Haarup was fourth fastest with Lucas Coenen rounding out the top five with his team mate and championshop leader, Kay de Wolf sixth.

We’ll update you on Benistant and Guyon once we find out more.

In MXGP, after setting the pace in free practice, Jeremy Seewer was also fastest in timed practice which is good to see. He edged out Jeffrey Herlings and Jorge Prado. Calvin Vlaanderen was fast in fourth ahead of Tim Gajser.

After casing the triple in free practice, it looks like Romain Febvre might be in a bit of pain as he was only seventeenth fastest in timed practice.
