DRT Kawasaki head to Hawkstone Park at full strength

The team is looking forward to the upcoming round of the British Championship with a full lineup, after Jack was injured in the Czech Republic, and Billy will also make a return. Bobby will continue to ride the 450 in the British Championship, as well as looking to potentially represent Team GB at the Motocross of Nations.

Bobby’s second race on the Kawasaki 450, and first time around the notorious Lommel circuit, he tackled the Belgian sand with determination and grit. In a stacked field, Bruce first secured 27th in qualifying, setting up a tough weekend off the start gate. A mid-pack start in the first race was quickly turned on its head as a first-lap fall would send the Brit back 10 spaces. Defiantly pushing on, until another fall around the 20-minute mark where the ‘579’ pulled out of race one.

A similar effort in the second race where Bruce pushed on after an early fall, and after fighting back into 26th another fall would once again see the gruelling sand circuit take another victim as he retired after another fall.

“A really tough weekend for me in Lommel, I just couldn’t gel with the track all weekend to find the flow needed for those conditions. I will keep my head up and look forward to Hawkstone Park this weekend at the British Championship. Big thanks to the team and the mechanics for all their hard work!”

Steve Dixon – Team Manager

“After going on the 450 at Loket and now Lommel, probably 2 of the hardest tracks on the GP circuit, a few falls in the races made it difficult for Bobby to catch his breath, and carry on. Jack should be back this weekend to defend his red plate at Hawkstone, alongside Billy returning from his injury and Bobby on the 450, so it will be good to see our full lineup once again. This leads to 3 races in Europe with Sweden, Netherlands and Switzerland so it’s a busy time preparing for that.”
