Video: The crash that cost poor Lucas Coenen?

Poor Lucas Coenen DNF’d all three motos at Foxhill this weekend after the Belgian supertalent had a big crash on lap one and looked to have injured his left leg

A brave Coenen tried to race both motos today but pulled out in pain and frustration ultimately limping away from the Grand Prix after moto two.

Jeffrey Herlings won both main motos at Foxhill and it leaves Coenen’s lead in MXGP down to only 11 points despite coming in with a 68 point lead!

Let’s hope it isn’t as bad as it looks and Lucas gets better quickly to battle Herlings for this MXGP world title before he heads to the USA.

Coenen has since said he will try and race in Loket next weekend: “Not much to say about the weekend. I got unlucky with the collision with Maxime [Renaux] on Saturday and then found a fence where I wanted to go with a high bank. I hurt my leg and it was pretty impossible for me after that. Not much we can do but we’ll try again in Loket.”
