Race One: It was a great first race with Bruno Geitus getting the holeshot and riding superb at the front. But he started to get caught by Daniel Corda and Lucas Bos. Bos made a move past Corda in what was an exciting battle but Corda tried to go with him – but had a crash.
Geitus also crashed out of the lead. which allowed Bos to get to the front but British talent, Jack Waters was on the move and started to catch. In the end Bos took the win but Waters will be happy with a strong second place. Gines Alacid rode a good race in third with Corda ending up in fourth.
Race Two: As good as the second race was for Bos, the second race didn’t go according to plan – he got a really bad start and then as he was working his way through the pack he didn’t respect waved yellow flags which meant a 10 position penalty – ending his championship dreams.
Jack Waters quickly got himself to the front and then pulled away at the front of the field. He has made history as the first ever British rider to win an EMX65 title – congratulations young man!
