British talent Dylan Woodcock has been putting in the work in California as he gears up for the upcoming season. Immersed in the American scene and spending time on the Triumph 450cc, Woodcock is focused on improving himself while representing the Dirt Store Triumph programme on both sides of the Atlantic. He is gearing up for A1 this weekend on the 450cc machine.

He shared an update on how things have been going stateside:

“The preparation has been going very well over here in California. I love riding the Triumph 450cc. I feel like it really suits me with the chassis and the KYB suspension and obviously with KTech being involved, it is a very good formula”.

Woodcock also spoke about what it means to remain involved with the Dirt Store Triumph effort and how the brand continues to expand its presence.

“I love it. I mean, being a part of the Dirt Store Triumph team over in the UK, they have a really, really good presence. They’re obviously branching out to Europe, and being able to bring them here in America, I think it’s good for them, me, for everyone. This is part of the Dirt Store Triumph banner so that’s amazing”.

His time in America is more than just racing – it’s an investment in himself and his future.

“Coming over to America is more of an investment into myself. I was working the back end of last year, and the dates came out early which was nice. I saw the opportunity to come here, and I kind of said to the team, what do you think? I saved up as much money as I could and they’ve helped out the best they can as well so that’s great. I mean, it’s always a good experience to come over here and ride with some of the top guys and learn little things each day to keep progressing. That’s the main thing”.

With Anaheim approaching, the focus remains on using the experience to strengthen his riding so he can be a contender in the Arenacross UK series.

“Leading into Anaheim, I am feeling good. Mainly the reason why I’m here is all preparation for when I’m getting back to the UK. I am trying to be the best version of myself to be up front, be on the podium, and try to do the best I can for the team and all the guys. They put a lot of hard work in and it’s nice to repay them with good results and having a good time. It’s all about enjoying it and taking it all in and having a great time with the people around you that put a lot of hard work in as well. Otherwise, there’s not really much point doing it if we’re all not having a good time, you know? So it’s been amazing”.

Before wrapping up, Woodcock made sure to acknowledge those supporting his effort both in the UK and in the U.S.

“I’d just like to say a massive thank you to the whole Dirt Store Triumph team, SoCal Triumph over here in California. They’ve been a massive help to me, which is great. And MX Dreams, which is a California motocross holidays company, they are going to help me with my pit presence over here. They’ve allowed me to keep their bike in the workshop, help me out with mechanics, and help me at the track, so that’s also amazing. And all the other sponsors under the Dirt Store Triumph UK banner, they’re all helping as much as they can behind the scenes, so that’s great. I’m very excited to switch gear companies and stuff like that, so it’s all a bit refreshing. I’m really excited for the year ahead in the indoor series, so let’s go. I’m hungry for it, so I’ll see you guys soon”.

With renewed motivation, strong backing and valuable experience being gained week by week, Woodcock is clearly hungry for success. If his Californian preparation pays off, fans can expect to see him return to the UK ready to fight at the front when racing kicks off.
