RUMOUR: AIT Racing to make the switch to Fantic for 2025?

The AIT Racing team are a relatively new team in the GP paddock with former GP rider, Petar Petrov appointed as team manager this year. The team worked with Federico Tuani, Xavier Cazal, Vencislav Toshev and William Kleeman during the 2024 season.

Petrov himself also contested two rounds of the MXGP World Championship – Arnhem and Lommel. For the 2025 season, the Bulgarian will remain as the team manager.

“For the moment, the plan is to continue, of course. We would like to grow and to get better as a team. At the moment, we can’t confirm any riders or what we’re exactly doing. Hopefully, we’ll know this in the next week or so”, Petrov told us a few weeks back in an interview

The team have ran KTM machinery up until this point but we understand that for the 2025 season, the team will go in a different direction and run Fantic machinery.

The team are expected to receive some support from the Italian brand which could be a big boost to the team in the future. Fantic won’t run a factory MX2 World Championship team in 2025 but are still focusing heavily on MXGP running three riders as well as the EMX setup run by SDM Corse Fantic Racing.

We will have to wait and see who will be under the AIT Racing teams awning next year but it looks like a change of colour will be happening in 2025. The team are also on the look out for mechanics so if you are interested, you can contact Petar Petrov: +32 488 17 55 00.

We’ll keep you updated regarding the future of the team as and when we hear more.
