Jeffrey Herlings will race the Open class at the MXoN with Roan van de Moosdijk in MXGP but the reason makes sense!
Jeffrey said: “I wasn’t part of the Dutch team last year, so it’s nice to get the chance to represent my country again. We have a good team this year, and hopefully we can avoid some of the bad luck that has followed us in previous editions. I’m riding in the Open class, just to give Roan a bit more recovery time, but the goal is to score two good motos and try to get us on the podium. There are quite a few teams in with a shot this year and you never know what is going to happen but it’s a cool event and one that I still want to try and do well at.”
It means waiting all weekend for the Prado v Herlings v Lucas Coenen showdown plus home favourite Romain Febvre but Herlings will have to contend with teammate Tom Vialle in the Open class with Cooper Webb also in Open plus Garcia, Haarup, Everts, Jonass and Dylan Wright.
