Jorge Prado still got a decent start from the outside gate pick to be third quickly on lap one and then passed leader, Romain Febvre, at the halfway mark. But Febvre kept Prado honest and almost made the pass back amongst the backmarkers before Prado edged away slightly in the last couple of laps to secure the win. Jan Pancar rode great for third with Lucas Coenen coming from the back to fifth in an encouraging performance with Forati a strong fourth for Italy. Beaumer was running top ten but either a mistake or potentially arm pump saw him finish 14th.
