Yago Martinez looking for a ride despite impressive season

What a season it was for Yago Martinez who signed with French based team, VRT KTM just before the opening round of the EMX250 championship. The Spaniard had a great season finishing eighth in the championship and was one of the most improved riders of the year.

The 20 year old has revealed he has parted ways with the VRT KTM team which means he’s a free agent and currently looking a ride for the 2022 season.

“Well, the season is done. I want to say thanks to the VRT KTM team, Mickael Vrignon for giving me the opportunity to race my first full European championship. We had ups and downs, with a P2 as my best result in one moto, and a P4 as my best overall. It was a beautiful year! Thanks guys. A massive thanks to Lillis Scott! Bro, you made my year easier but we have to go our different ways”, Martinez stated on social media.

“Now I’m looking for a team for season 2022! Here is my e-mail (yagomartinezmx@gmail.com) if you guys know any team who are interested in racing together next season, let me know! A special thanks to all the people behind me in this 2021. I really appreciate it”, added Martinez.

Martinez clearly has a lot of potential so hopefully he can land a ride for the 2022 season!
