A familiar presence in the French paddock for many seasons, the GSM team is reportedly set to undergo a major shake-up during the off-season.
Do we really need to introduce Serge Guidetty’s team? Numerous French riders have passed through the GSM structure in recent years. Anthony Bourdon, Xavier Boog, Thomas Ramette, Lucas Imbert, Grégory Aranda, Bogdan Krajewski, Jordi Tixier and Maxime Desprey have all represented the team in the French championships. The team has also made its mark in the World Supercross Championship with several of its riders, as well as Boris Maillard, Julien Lebeau, Carson Brown, Jace Owen and Max Anstie, with whom GSM became the SX2 World Champions in 2025.
Following an impressive 2026 season, which saw Maxime Desprey claim both the national Elite MX1 and SX Tour SX1 titles, while Jordi Tixier finished as SX1 vice-champion, the GSM team had turned its attention towards the World Supercross Championship. However, the new WSX season was abandoned after the opening round in Canada. Since then, Bogdan Krajewski has announced his departure from the team after two seasons together, joining the Sifam Triumph team for their sand racing programme. GSM is now preparing for one final national event: the Paris Supercross.
Following that, GSM is expected to make significant changes ahead of the 2027 season. After several years working with Yamaha, the French team are reportedly preparing to switch manufacturers and move to Triumph. This change in colour would also coincide with an evolution of its racing programme.
In particular, GSM is expected to contest the EMX250 Championship with Liam Bruneau. The young Frenchman returned to the EMX125 class last season with TMX Compétition for his final campaign in the category. While Thibaut Mugnier’s team has yet to clarify its plans for 2027, Bruneau has reportedly already decided on his next move. He is expected to contest his rookie EMX250 season with GSM, alongside a national programme focused on the Elite Motocross Championship and SX Tour.
The French championships are also expected to remain a priority for the team, with Maxime Desprey leading the charge. Having won both the French motocross and Supercross titles in 2026, Desprey secured his eighth national title with GSM at the end of the Supercross season, taking his personal tally to 12 French championship titles.
In 2027, Desprey is expected to continue with GSM on a Triumph, with the aim of defending his Elite MX1 and SX Tour crowns.
