In the latest Blair Matthes podcast Steve Matthes said he was told Chase Sexton to Quad Lock Honda could happen but Matthes believes HEP Suzuki are also right in the mix for his signature.
Daniel Blair even heard Sexton could replace Lucas Coenen at KTM in MXGP…but Matthes said MXGP is a not happening.
On financing a Quad Lock Honda deal, Matthes said they might not even need to pay a salary with Sexton: “With Energy drinks and Alpinestars Chase Sexton’s base salary is already a million dollars before he throws a leg over a bike. So that maybe makes it more probable that Yarrive (Konsky) doesn’t pay any salary and Honda kicks down bonuses.”
