It wasn’t the season that Courtney Duncan would have wanted as some injury issues before the season and during the season hindered her chances of another world title – the best she could manage was fifth but the last two rounds of the series were much improved.
Duncan was with the F&H Racing team this year which saw her spend a lot of her time in the Netherlands but with the team closing their doors ahead of the 2025 season she has been on the look out for another ride.
We believe she will be heading back to DRT Kawasaki after just one year away from the team. The Kiwi had been with the team from 2019 before leaving for the 2024 season. It was a great four years as she won many races and plenty of titles. She is now a four-time WMX Motocross World Champion.
Heading into the 2025 season she’ll be hoping for no more injuries so she can challenge for her fifth world title. It should be exciting racing with Lotte van Drunen trying to defend her title and Daniela Guillen improving all the time.
With regards the DRT Kawasaki team, as we recently reported, Bobby Bruce is expected to stay with the team to partner Duncan under the awning as he’s expected to race the EMX250 series in 2025.
Taylor Hammal has been announced to be racing with the team for the 2025 Arenacross Tour is also expected to be part of the team heading into the outdoor season but with the main goal being the British Championship – he may contest wildcard MXGP rounds though which would be a great opportunity for Hammal.
At the moment, the DRT Kawasaki team aren’t expected to make another signing so are expected to go into the 2025 season without a full time MX2 or MXGP World Championship rider.
