MX2 race results: International Italian Championship RD1 – Zanchi wins Riola

Andrea Adamo got the holeshot in the opening race but had Oriol Oliver and Simon Langenfelder for company. Both were able to make moves and Oliver looked good in the front before Langenfelder passed him and dominated at the front. Adamo got into second before dropping to third again but Oliver made a mistake on the last lap to allow Adamo to get back into second.

Ferruccio Zanchi and Hakon Fredriksen both got terrible starts but flew through the pack to finish fourth and sixth respectively.

There was chaos around the first corner of the second moto as Langenfelder and Adamo both went down in a pile up. Prugnieres was holding the early lead with Oliver and Zanchi for company.

Oliver was able to get into the lead but Zanchi got himself into second and then went for it – he made the move for the lead to win on his HRC Honda debut!
