Official: Quentin Prugnieres back with BUD Racing to contest World Supercross

Quentin Prugnieres has confirmed his next move as the 2025 season draws to a close. After starting the year preparing for the MX2 World Championship before stepping up mid-season with Motoblouz SR Honda to finish out the campaign in MXGP, the French rider will now switch focus to the World Supercross Championship.

In a move that brings his career full circle, Prugnieres has signed with BUD Racing to contest the WSX series. It’s a familiar environment for the talented Frenchman, who spent five years with the team earlier in his career, beginning in the 85cc class before moving on to the MX2 World Championship.

BUD Racing confirmed the news on social media, announcing:

“Quentin Prugnieres is back where it all began, with Team Venum Bud Racing Kawasaki. He will be our second FIM WSX rider in the 450cc class.

Quentin Prugnieres began his career in 85cc with Bud Racing and stayed 5 years in the team before going to a MX2 career. Are you ready for WSX in two weeks?”

Prugnieres will line up alongside Justin Hill in the 450cc division, while Cole Thompson and Kyle Peters represent the team in the 250cc class.

It’s an exciting new challenge for Prugnieres, who has already proven his versatility by competing across MX2, MXGP, and now gearing up for the unique demands of Supercross. With the WSX series kicking off in just two weeks, it won’t be long before fans see the French star back in familiar green colours on the world stage.

We might even see Prugnieres also race the Arenacross Tour as well when it kicks off in the new year.
