Race results: MX2 World Championship RD10 – Teutschenthal

Race one:  Andrea Adamo passed Sacha Coenen to win the opening moto but it was an intense fight throughout the moto with the top nine all within 10-12 seconds and fighting it out for most of the moto until Farres fell while battle for a top five with a couple of laps to go. Simon Längenfelder started fifth dropped to eighth then came back through to third in a hard fought battle in front of his home crowd with De Wolf gating around tenth and taking seventh.

Race Two:  After heavy rain, the second moto was a mudder that Sacha Coenen was dominating until he crashed big time and gave away the lead to Guillem Farres! The Spaniard took his first ever GP moto win and Triumph’s second moto of the season, as De Wolf rebounded for second with Adamo third – enough to win the GP!

Simon Längenfelder had a bad start and could only muster a ninth, meaning he lost the championship lead to Adamo, the former world champ, now in a very strong position sitting three points ahead of Längenfelder.

Adamo said: “It’s amazing, the moto was tricky, I couldn’t attack because Iwas scared about the goggles. I am so happy yo have the red plate, finally. But it’s important to have it at the end of the championship.”
