Race results: MXGP World Championship RD17 – Frauenfeld

Race One:

Tim Gajser poured on the speed immediately on lap one to pass Prado and then Renaux to get into the lead and clear off for the win as Jeffrey Herlings came from outside the top five to second. Prado dropped back to fifth but passed an impressive Renaux with three laps to go to take third with Seewer also getting Renaux to finish fourth.

Race Two:

Five world championship fighting for the win with Tim Gajser coming out on top again in a brilliantly intense second moto that underlined why MXGP is the pinnacle of outdoor motocross. Jeffrey Herlings came from outside the top ten to fifth but Gajser, fourth, then pulled the pin, passed Febvre, Renaux and then Prado to take the lead. With five minutes to go, Herlings caught fire again and rifled up to second with a blistering pass on Febvre then Prado. But with two laps to go even Herlings ran out of time to try and pressure Gajser who rode his best race of the season right when it REALLY mattered for the championship.
