Tim Gajser ride his best race of the season to win both motos in Switzerland and it left a fast but bad starting Herlings and Prado, who hurt his leg, frustrated with the points situation.
Gajser: “It’s starting to be crucial. We are coming towards the end of the championship, just three rounds to go. I lost some ground in Lommel and Arnhem but anyway, I am looking forward to the tracks we have not. Today I felt really good. Two solid starts, quick passes, made a little gap and controlling the race, I was really enjoying out there. The track was not easy, a lot of lines, so you had to be smart and pick the right lines. Super happy, thanks to my team and everyone around me.
Herlings: “Both times once I got to second Tim was gone. Man, I had the speed all day to win but it doesn’t bring me anything, you know? So, anyway, 2-2 on a track let’s say I don’t fancy so much, it’s mnot too bad. This track last year I struggled the most and now I felt my bike set-up was much better. The riding was good, I had good speed, I just couldn’t get out of the start like almost always. It is like it is, I am looking forward to Turkey and China those tracks inside gates should suit me a bit better, looking forward to them.
Prado: “It was a tough day for me. I struggled with my health in moto one, moto two was a bit better health-wise but struggling still with the leg I hurt in moto one too. I don’t know, today everything was hard for me, just fighting for myself. To battle these guys when I am not 100%, it’s hard to beat them. It’s a pity we lost some points but three rounds left, let’s get back to 100% healthy and get the championship.”
