Romain Febvre took a brilliant win at home after chasing leader Jorge Prado who then went down and that hallowed Febvre to control the race from there. Lucas Coenen took third behind Prado in a good ride despite his leg injury but immediately put his hand on his leg after the checkered flag underlining his gritty performance.
Guillem Farres was a brilliant fourth and top 250 to leave Spain in thr driving seat after Valin had a big crash and DNF’D. Jan Pancar took fifth with Forato passing McLellan at the end for sixth. Levi Kitchen was right in that battle ahead of Forato and chasing McLellan when he crashed abd ended outside the top 20 as Beaumer rode well for tenth.
