Race results: MX2 World Championship RD8 – Kegums – Coenen domination

Race One: Sacha Coenen got the holeshot and ran into the distance – no one else saw what way he went. Jens Walvoort was sitting early second before Simon Längenfelder got his way up to second. However, Camden McLellan was on the move and got his way into second – but then the birthday boy crashed after coming up short on the triple.

Valin made a move on Längenfelder to come home in second and it was a bad last lap for the reigning champion as McLellan passed him for third and then he made a mistake which allowed Farres to pass him as well!

Karlis Reisulis had a good ride for sixth ahead of Liam Everts and his brother.

Race Two: Coenen dominated right at the front yet again but Karlis Reisulis was having a storming ride in second – with the Latvian’s cheering him on. He was on for a podium right until the last lap before a mistake allowed McLelllan to get around him – the South African was flying but needs to improve his starts.

Valin ended up with a third overall to take another podium – that is four in a row!

It was a disastrous race for Längenfelder as he was outside the top ten on the first lap and just after moving into the top ten and trying to pass Everts went off the track – he then pulled out of the race! There’s now 37 points between Coenen and Längenfelder.
