Race results: MX2 World Championship RD5 – Geerts perfect in Agueda

Race One: After over watering it made the track very slippery and things got very rough quickly at the Agueda track. It was Andrea Adamo who got the holeshot on his Factory KTM with Jago Geerts looking good in second. The front two pulled away at the front and with three laps to go Geerts put the pressure on and then passed the young Italian, a masterclass from the Belgian. Kay de Wolf came home a solid third ahead of his team mate, Roan van de Moosdijk with Simon Laengenfelder in fifth after a bad start. Liam Everts crashed on the opening lap and later found himself in the bushes after colliding with Isak Gifting. The biggest mystery was Thibault Benistant who struggled to thirteenth.

Race Two: The second moto things were easier for Geerts as he took the lead on the first lap and never looked back – total control on his Factory Yamaha. Laengenfelder was comfortable in second before a mistake saw him come under pressure and passed by Husqvarna riders, Roan van de Moosdijk and Kay de Wolf. De Wolf was able to also pass his team mate to take a strong second. Both of them managed to make it on the podium though in what was a great day for Husqvarna. Despite his strong first moto, Adamo didn’t get a good start and had to settle for fifth in race two
