Official: Jarne Bervoets inks deal with Cat Moto Bauerschmidt KTM for 2027

Belgian talent Jarne Bervoets will embark on a new chapter in his career for the 2027 season after signing a deal with Cat Moto Bauerschmidt KTM, bringing an end to his time with Yamaha.

As Bervoets prepares for his second season in the EMX250 Championship, the move will see him switch machinery and join the KTM-backed team as he looks to continue his development in the European paddock.

Bervoets ends his time with Yamaha

The Belgian has been part of the Yamaha family since the 2024 season, initially spending two years with the MJC Yamaha squad before stepping up to the EMX250 Championship with VHR Yamaha, Yamaha’s official team in the series.

Now, Bervoets is set for a fresh challenge with Cat Moto Bauerschmidt KTM, where he will look to build on the experience gained during his time with Yamaha.

The switch will also see him return to KTM machinery for the first time since 2023, when he competed on an 85cc machine finishing runner up in the Junior World Championship.

Bervoets excited for new chapter

Bervoets is looking forward to getting started with his new team and making the most of the opportunity ahead of the 2027 campaign.

“I’m really excited and happy to start this new chapter with Cat Moto. I’m grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together. I’m looking forward to the future and giving it everything I’ve got,” Bervoets told GateDrop.com.

With the 2027 season approaching, Bervoets will be hoping the change of machinery and environment can help him take another step forward in the EMX250 Championship.

Andre Stumpf (team manager):

“We are really happy to welcome Jarne to the team. He has already proven in the 125cc class that he has the speed and talent to fight for podiums and race wins. After a challenging 2026 season, we believe that with the right environment and our team structure, he has everything it takes to get back to the front and fight for the top positions again.”
