Cianciarulo on that collision with Webb

Adam Cianciarulo has stated his regret at accidently hitting Cooper Webb in the heat race when Webb was lying prone on the track in an unavoidable collision. AC hit Webb’s back and head so hard that it ended Webb’n night and his title ambitions with just three rounds to go, underlying what a brutal sport supercross and dirt bike racing really is.

Cianciaruli said on Twitter: “Tough day for me. Not because of my result, but because of that incident with Cooper in the heat race. The absolute worst spot you can be in as a racer. It happened so fast, and I wish I could have avoided it. I’m thinking of him and I hope he is back soon.”

It wasn’t the only disaster for the KTM group with Justin Barcia crashing out of third in the main event leaving them no bikes on track with Plessinger also injured along with Craig and Stewart at Husqvarna. Six riders out of six all out of action and a championship charge over. Tough times at KTM.
