Race One: After winning the qualifying race yesterday, the same Liam Everts turned up on race day riding a different track from the others with his on the pegs technical style – he is loving the brutal conditions.

Simon Langenfelder rode well for a lonely second. Lucas Coenen was in the top five at the start but had a crash and then two more crashes in a nightmare race for the young Belgian. Kay de Wolf didn’t get the best of starts but came through to third passing Rick Elzinga.

Thibault Benistant and Andrea Adamo were locked in an exciting battle for the last couple of laps with the French rider getting the upper hand. Adamo then had backmarker issues and crashed but still finished tenth. Hakon Osterhagen will be happy with his seventh and Jens Walvoort was also strong in tenth.

Race Two: It was the same story for Everts in race two as he got into the lead and dominated at the head of the field despite one small tip over he still won by over a minute over Rick Elzinga who had a trip to goggle lane for some new goggles with three laps to go but he still finished second overall – his first MX2 GP podium.

There was drama at the beginning as Langenfelder crashed – it looked like a small tip over but he walked away holding his shoulder. Not good for his championship hopes.

Benistant finished fourth behind Mikkel Haarup to secure third overall – two Yamaha’s on the box.

Walvoort had another strong ride for fifth – he loved the tough conditions. Adamo was seventh with Kay de Wolf seventh in a tough day for every single rider.
