Race One:Â Thibault Benistant got the holeshot in the opening moto but he had Lucas Coenen for company. The young Belgian quickly got into the lead and just ran away with things at the front. The speed is very, very impressive.
Adamo looked a lot better than he did yesterday after getting a better start. He passed Laengenfelder and then Benistant to finish second. Laengenfelder also passed Benistant to come home in third.
Quentin Prugnieres was having a great ride in fifth before a crash demoted him back to tenth.
Kay de Wolf decided to take a risk free approach and after being tenth, he made a couple of passes to get into seventh – the championship battle now goes into race two.
Ferruccio Zanchi rode a great race for fifth and was able to hold off a fast Mikkel Haarup.
Race Two: De Wolf got the holeshot in the second moto with Coenen right behind him. The Belgian passed his team mate and cleared off into the distance but de Wolf didn’t care about that. He came home in second to become MX2 world title on his 20th birthday – it doesn’t get much better than that!
Benistant rode well for third to get on the podium but Adamo was the man on the move. At a track hard to overtake on, Adamo pulled off a lot of passes to secure second overall.
