Julius Mikula led after the first corner to the delight of the home crowd but it didn’t take long for Sacha Coenen to make a move and he started to stretch away at the front of the field despite his shoulder injury.
Simon Längenfelder was on the move though and got his way into second and set his sights on Coenen who started to fade. McLellan then got into second and started to catch Längenfelder but then had an unfortunate tip over – Längenfelder brought home the win in sketchy conditions.
Guillem Farres got a really bad start – he was eighteenth on the first lap but got his way up to third behind the impressive Liam Everts.
Sacha Coenen ended up in sixth behind Janis Reisulis.
