Last but no means least Jere Haavisto has been racing selected MXGP events this year and will be in the Open class for the Finnish team.

The team will be hoping to qualify for the main races without the dreaded B final.

“We’re facing something new, as it’s the first time in a big game in the national team race and in the toughest MXGP class. My driving style is more calm than aggressive and therefore well suited for a big game. The Matterley Basin track is also one of my favorite tracks and I’ve always driven well there. I’m looking forward to it so we go to the games with interest and a good feeling”, says Weckman.

“I’m really proud to be able to represent Finland for the first time at the MXoN. Together with Jere and Emil, we have a good team together and the track is one of the finest in the world. I’ve once raced there with spikes in a kurakel, so it wouldn’t hurt if there was a little bit of kura this time too. If all the riders are able to do their best for the season, the final result will certainly be good ,” says Rainio.

“At the beginning of October, the Motocross team will go to England for the MXoN. Emil Weckman and Sampo Rainio are now teammates. A good team together and a really nice track to go for a good result. First of all, we have to find out on Saturday the way to Sunday’s final. In the final, we will try to achieve good results. We are in a good mood going into the race”, says Haavisto.
