Official: David Cracco signs with GI Cross Racing Team – a new EMX entry


Young Italian talent David Cracco will remain in the EMX125 class for the 2027 season after signing with GI Cross Racing Team, an Italian-based outfit set to join the Grand Prix paddock.

Cracco enjoyed a strong 2026 campaign in the EMX125 Championship, finishing seventh overall in the highly competitive series. With a number of riders moving on from the class for 2027, the Italian will be expected to be one of the front runners next season as he looks to build on his progress.

A new team joins the Grand Prix paddock

GI Cross Racing Team will be a new entry in the Grand Prix paddock for 2027 and will contest the EMX125 Championship with KTM support from Austria.

The team will now look to establish itself in the paddock, with Cracco providing an exciting rider to lead their EMX125 programme. With the Italian having already shown strong potential in the class, the team will be hoping to fight at the sharp end of the field throughout the season.

Cracco is already motivated for the new challenge and is targeting podium results throughout the 2027 season.

David Cracco:

“For 2027 season I will join the GI Cross team with support from KTM Austria. I’m ready and I can’t wait for the races. I’m really motivated and I want to show my potential. I’ll do my best and try to fight for the podium in every race”.

GI Cross targeting strong debut

Team co-ordinator Diego Pederiva is also looking forward to the challenge of entering the EMX125 Championship and believes the team can create the right environment for Cracco to perform at his best.

With KTM support behind the project and Cracco entering his third season in the EMX125 Championship, GI Cross Racing Team will be one of the new outfits to watch when the 2027 season gets underway.
