The 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship holds its first event in Europe this weekend, as the Circuito Motor Ranch at Cozar welcomes the MXGP elite back to southern Spain for Round Two – the MXGP of Castilla La Mancha!
It’s all change in the MXGP class as French duo Maxime Renaux and Romain Febvre lead the way after Argentina, Renaux holding the red plate on his Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP machine, with just a single point advantage over Febvre and Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP. Five-time World Champion Tim Gajser is third for Honda HRC, with Italian Mattia Guadagnini holding a surprise fourth place for the new Ducati Factory MX Team!
In MX2, Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing star Kay de Wolf returns to the circuit where he clinched the world title last year, and holds the red #1 plate after a wild opening round! Sacha Coenen sits just three points behind the defending Champ, with his Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teammate Simon Laengenfelder only two further points back.
Spanish riders Ruben Fernandez, Guillem Farres, David Braceras, and Oriol Oliver will be looking to get their local fans excited on the Spanish slopes of the re-worked Cozar circuit!
As always, MXGP fans can follow the races LIVE throughout the weekend. All you need to do is log onto www.MXGP-TV.com Saturday and Sunday, from wherever you are in the world.
