MX1 race results: International Italian Championship RD2 – Gajser on fire in Mantova

Tim Gajser grabbed the holeshot in race one and never looked back simply running away with things at the front. His team mate, Ruben Fernandez was second the entire race and had some pressure behind from Febvre but the French rider just couldn’t find away around the Spaniard.

Jeremy Seewer rode solid for fourth with Alberto Forato passing Isak Gifting for a top five. Jago Geerts suffered from a really bad start but was able to recover to nineth behind Ben Watson.

In the second moto it was Romain Febvre who took the holeshot on his factory Kawasaki ahead of Jan Pancar and Jeremy Seewer. Tim Gajser looked to get a decent start but after the first corner made a mistake and collided with his team mate, Ruben Fernandez.

Gajser went down and was right at the back but he was on a mission! The Slovenian came from last all the way to second passing Jeremy Seewer on the final lap – it give him the overall win as well as the championship. Febvre rode well and brought home the second moto win controlling things at the front.
