Even Levi Kitchen, despite a great hustle to pass Max Anstie after the controversial restart to take an unlikely win in Detroit, says he doesn’t like taking the win in that way!
A respectful Kitchen, who Anstie pulled away from in the main event to the tune of six second until the red flag said:
“Felt good to get things going in the right direction. Felt great all day and was happy with my riding. I want to congratulate @maxanstie on his ride last night. He rode great and if roles were reversed I can guarantee any of those boys would have done the same thing. It was a weird situation and I’m not happy with winning that way but all we can do is move forward from here. Thank you to everyone in my corner and hopefully Daytona will treat me better than Tampa.”

Regardless of how it happened, it was a six point swing for Levi against Max Anstie, thanks to the new AMA rule, and that could prove crucial at the end of the series and Kitchen isn’t the rider you want to hand any momentum too.
