HRC Honda team manager, Lars Lindstrom, has given an honest opinion on his rider, Ken Roczen, while speaking to Steve Matthes on the Pulp MX show.
After a difficult year for the German with more health issues forcing him to leave the supercross season halfway through to recover, Lars said: “What was going on wasn’t what any of us wanted. He put a lot of time, effort and money to get himself where he needs to be. It hasn’t been the easiest time for him or us since basically December till now. That first sickness really wiped him out.
“Between him and us we decided it would be a good time to take this time and try to get anything from his doctors to help him recover quicker and come back from the Nationals and try to put a fight on for the title there.
“We definitely are hungry for a 450 championship and he is too. He wants to give it too us. This is is last year on his deal to race, who knows what’s happening next year, whether he wants to race. I know he wants too but he has got to figure if that’s something he is able to do. For this coming season his goal is to win that outdoor championship.”
