Bud Kawasaki have revealed that Francisco Garcia, the runaway EMX250 points leader has a small injury and will miss Lommel this weekend. But with a huge lead in the championship he is still likely to clinch the title and expected back in Sweden.
Bud Kawasaki wrote on Instagram: “Following a small crash during training this week, @francarbonero29 will unfortunately not line up in Lommel this weekend❌ With more than a 100-point lead in the EMX250 championship, the decision has been made to let him rest and recover properly. He’ll be back in Sweden, hungrier than ever.”
With top tens results in MX2 and AMA 250 this season, Garcia has had a brilliant year that has earned him a factory Kawasaki KRT ride in MX2 for 2027. This injury is hopefully just a small bump in the road.
